- eleven - Xbox 360 - Top Spin - Halo 3
I would have to say that the first eleven days of the new year have been interesting. Interesting, ironic, and surprising. Further elaboration just doesn't seem appropriate at this time or place.

Some unrelated pictures instead:

Bona Stu vs Clarker13. The Top Spin doubles team who once held a world ranking in the lower hundreds battles via Xbox Live.

My Xbox as of last night and this morning :-( A new one is on the way.

A screen shot from Discomentary Volume One, nothing incredibly special.

And I'm spent, good night.
Halo 3

- Halo 3 - Xbox 360
Halo 3 came out today. I'm definitely not a super star at it like everyone else, but I absolutely can't wait to play it, especially on-line. I didn't pre-order it, but to my surprise this morning, the local Best Buy has it marked as "in stock". We will see if I actually get to pick it up today or not.

non notable yet enjoyable weekend

- US Soccer - Xbox 360 - AJAX
I have had a fulfilling weekend doing many different things, I am currently a tad tired, or maybe just lazy, and don't really feel like typing about much.

-I bought Madden 08 for Xbox 360. Not being a huge football video game fan, I can say I like it.

-I went for a bike ride with a friend that extended a little over 2 hours and 20 miles, throughout rain and shine, it was nice.

-I spent a little more than a handful of hours implementing AJAX in yet to be released Splash 8.4, I have so far converted over the main user login function and the selection of a username function, to use AJAX. I am very pleased with the results so far.

-I worked on a little video editing, primarily on video from Summer 2002.

-My DVR only recorded the first half of USA vs Brazil...I thought we looked very competitive the first half and am saddened by the fact that I was unable to watch the second half. I need to clear out some shows on the DVR's hard drive.

Those are some notable highlights from a non notable yet enjoyable weekend. Good night.
slushy Sunday...

- Xbox 360 - ramblings
The weather certainly does not reflect the date, as the park across the street is covered in a slushy snowy blanket. These conditions are pretty ideal for snowball making...and that's about it.

I took the new Mac into the Apple store yesterday, they determined it was a hard drive hardware issue. The computer is currently still there, as they are awaiting a new HD to get shipped in. I imagine I will be able to pick it up by mid next week. I am a tad skeptical about whether or not the issue is in fact with the hard drive or not, this not being my forte, will sit on the sidelines and see what happens. Hopefully I will not have to experience this problem for a third time.

I did a little behind the scenes work on the site today from this laptop. Mostly just stat tracking stuff that I will likely not use for a few months.

Due to the sloppy weather, I laid pretty low. The highlight thus far has been an Xbox Live game of FIFA 07 with one of my very good high school buddies. It is really cool being able to chat and play as if we were sitting on the couch back in '98.

Unless the hot chocolate and apple fritter combination I just purchased is laced or Sopranos shows Meadow getting really nasty, I do not expect the FIFA game to have much competition for todays most exciting activity.

From my humble laptop on the inside to your even humbler computer on the outside, have a good evening.
