- boring - verizon
Yesterday was a rough day, as I paid dearly for Saturday evening activities. It was definitely one of those hangovers that you always try to prevent. My lack of food intake prior to drinking and respective lack of water after, undoubtedly played the biggest role in said unpleasant feelings, besides obviously the actual consumption of the alcohol. It was one of those days where you had to puke every time you either moved too fast, or where the time period of about 1-2 hours had passed without puking. Ugggg. This is why choosing to pass up many nights of going out has recently become more common for me than at any other time in my life. I was about %80 recovered today, which is ridiculous, but not uncommon when "the day after" goes so bad. Ugggg. My decision to drink Red Bull and Vodkas in between games of beer pong was definitely the deciding factor in where the night was headed. One or the other would have been fine, with just sticking to beer pong being the best option, but both together was definitely a trip to troubleville.
I am going to keep things simple tonight. I have to upload some photos to the band site I have been working on. I have to take out the garbage. I have to clean up a little bit more from Saturday evening. I have to eat dinner. I would like to work on transferring more files from my main Mac, to my external drive, as Apple is shipping me a new one due to some unresolved issues and it should be here any day. I have to sleep. Maybe I will go through some mail(snail & e), but that is unlikely.
So sorry I had nothing interesting to talk about. I think I will just put a permanent disclosure on my main page:
Warning, this likely won't be interesting to anyone (but me)
Have a nice evening.
oh, ya, and for the record, I would like to put a date stamp on this: I just received the little door hanger from FedEx that they tried dropping something off, today, MONDAY. Which is sooooo much longer that LAST SATURDAY, the day verizon PROMISED me MULTIPLE times, that my phone would come. Are you kidding me? Now that I really think about it, the only thing I regret about Saturday night is the fact that I didn't get a cab to drop me off at verizon after the bars. Any discomfort I would have felt recovering from my night out inside their store would have greatly been made up for by the fact that I could visually express my sickness with their customer service. Can you just imagine how awesome it would be to just stand there, waiting to puke. "Sir, can I help you?", "Not yet buddy, just stand here for a second, or bring me a manger, I would like to give a compliment to how great your staff is"...PUKE, PUKE, PUKE...all over all of them, all day. This thought is so late :-( UGGGG.

- iPhone - Verizon - lunch
I was so excited to have my phone back I decided to dork it up big time and take a few picture during lunch to send to a friend. My new phone, which is the same model as my old one, works a ton better than my old one. I think this stability/performance enhancement can be attributed to the fact that I have yet to install any 3rd party applications on the phone. I have read a few articles criticizing Apple for restricting the majority of 3rd party applications for the iPhone to be run only in Safari, the web browser. I would like those same people to experience the nightmare of issues my old phone suffered, which I now attribute to 3rd party programs screwing up everything.
Everyone knows what it's like to have your computer crash, but it's a million times worse when it's your cell phone. To have it happen multiple times a day only because you installed some stupid program you had to pay for is not cool at all. Just like I don't think Verizon is cool. The replacement phone they allegedly overnighted on Friday (a week ago), which the representative said was too far along in the shipment process and I would have to send it back once it came, still hasn't arrived.
I want to buy an iPhone in the fall. Hopefully by then a new generation will be out and even if theres not, it will be something to make up for the cold weather.
I am very tired and a tad tipsy, good night.
