- LOST - soccer - video
With the absence of a new LOST episode this evening, I finally got to goto one one of my indoor soccer games. This is the first session we've ever had games on Thursdays, and this is the first season I've ever committed to hosting a LOST party for every episode. This season of LOST has been great. Opposed to being overwhelmed by the many new doors of questions that have been opened this season, I have chosen to make peace with my eagerness and curiosity to figure out what everything means, and just take every amazing second in; without asking how, what, and why.

The funniest thing happened right at the end of our game tonight... we were up by 1 and there was less than a minute left... I was sucking wind big time and found myself being the only one between one of our opponents better players and our goalie... needless to say he absolutely broke me with a nice little move... being able to partially recover, I started to change my inertia and proceed in the direction I should have gone in the first place... being about 1 or 2 steps too far away to break up the shot, I was utterly useless...until... my jackass teammate, raised in the same city as I, pushed me down in front of the shot. It was amazing. Anyones best guess would be that I made an awkward kamikaze like dive, but he and I knew better. It worked, we regained control of the ball, and won the game. I look forward to hopefully returning the favor at some point during our quickly approaching softball season.

Besides that, not much to report. I've been doing a lot of preparing lately. Preparation for a wide variety of things. Things like trips, projects, and life. I'm currently in the yellow zone of preparation. I'm doing stuff like tanning, thinking, and producing. Tanning my body so I don't burn; thinking about things I'm doing, will do, and shouldn't do; producing results. Results like ideas and content. Theres really a whale of an idea we are working on right now. This might not be the money maker you read about on this thing called the internet, but it could be, and I find that just fascinating!

If fascinating is tonights designated word for cool things then I will use it to tag this following video. It was shot in the school and by the students my Dad is vice principal of.

Did you know that children of identical twins are considered half siblings because they share half the same genes?

Good night.

- Control Panel - User Registration - Soccer - Halo 3 - haircut
There has definitely been a little lapse in my blog posting, I primarily attribute this to...hmmm, I don't have much of a reason. Here is a random breakdown of things that happened since my last blog post:

-I got a good amount of work done on the page I wasn't going to call "Control Panel", but likely will. It has been linked to for about a week now from my home page, it is fully functional for all options it currently offers.

-I begun and am close to finishing a new User Registration page. The code is all in place and working well, I now just need to finish the layout. I am happy with how the code turned out. I am doing input validation with JavaScript, then submitting the mySQL query via an AJAX request. The use of JavaScript has allowed me to offer an in intuitive user interface that hopefully makes registration nice and easy; specifically, I am pleased with how errors with various registration input data will be communicated to the user.

-I began and completed my first ever Christmas Card for mass mailing. I did some searching of the many different approaches to making the cards, the hardest part was choosing the paper. I like projects where where the hardest part is choosing the paper. Maybe you will be lucky enough to receive one in the mail. I now only need to collect addresses for people. Street addresses is one thing I do not have a lot of. If you would like to be considered :-) to receive a card, please email me your physical address.

-I purchased FIFA 08 for Xbox 360, it is pretty cool. It is the most realistic soccer game I have played to date.

-I have an indoor soccer game tomorrow @ 10:55pm....super uggg to games that late. I have scored in every game, except last Mondays, hopefully tomorrow things can get back on track.

-I reached level 30 in Halo 3, putting me at the rank of Major...as in "Major Cool"....right?

-I went to the casino yesterday to meet up with a buddy... I got worked. I was only playing blackjack, and I hit some of my bigger hands, but for whatever reason, I just got worked over by the Indians.

-I got a haircut today, I'm not sure if it's really good or really bad. I've been watching peoples faces after they look at me, but I haven't been able to figure out what they think about it. I'm gonna try doing this with people I know, as it is hard to gauge the reaction of a stranger.

-That's all I got. Good night.

- Android - iPhone - iTablet - Soccer
For anyone board out there, I would check out news on the new Android Phone Platform recently unveiled by Google. The prototype I watched in a video appears to truly be in the same class as the iPhone. Although it still remains to be seen what the projects partners will release months from now, I would not be surprised if this platform makes a huge impact on the cell phone market. I would imagine a lot of the companies who turned down the opportunity to carry the iPhone would be super interested in this device. Worthy to note, I think the biggest drawback in running primarily 3rd party applications is that any sloppy code will lead to crashes and security vulnerabilities. I attribute the majority of issues with my old Palm Treo 700p to 3rd party apps, and I am happy Apple is taking it's time with releasing a SDK for the iPhone.

I'm still waiting for an iTablet, I think this wait will definitely be worth it.

On an unrelated topic, our indoor soccer team crushed our opponent tonight, putting us at a respectable 1 and 1. I have to wake up in about 5 hours to get down to the Bronx, sooooo.....good night.

- Bermuda - casino - Soccer
I lay here in bed with the balconey door open, listening to the rather rough ocean, thinking about how I will spend this final day at sea. I have stratgicly limited my time in the casino so I could look to make a big run when the timing was just right, that day is today. I still havent finalized my plan of attack, but I may stray from my usual pattern of wearing down the casino in blackjack so I can deliver the knockout punch in roulette. Worthy to note, my single most amazing casino run happened almost exactley a year ago on a cruise to Mexico. The things that happened that day will likely never be recreated or surpassed. I think I will run a little craps today, maybe even before blackjack, such an uncharecteristic move on my part could potentially put the casino on its heels, allowing me to blitzkrieg the bank with little to no opposition from the Romanians who I have historically found to make up the majority of cruise casino staff.

There has been a ton of soccer on during the cruise, currently I'm watching a UEFA qualifier match between Arsenal and Sparta. I am still amazed about how much higher the level of competition is in pretty much any league and then the MLS. Very worthy to note though is the equalizer goal via bicycle kick from Klien of LA Galexy during their eventual penalty kick loss during yesterdays championship game against a team and a tournament who's names currently escape me. Also worthy to note is Beckhams new knee strain injury, I really hope he isn't out too long, he is obviously a superb soccer player as well as an all around good person.

Well I think i might get out of bed, lunch with the parents in about an hour and then likely the casino. I believe i have already determined the staple numbers to be used during roulette!

- Soccer - John from Cincinnati - phone number - iPhone
I enjoyed watching the Galaxy vs Chelsea soccer game Saturday. Beckham went in for about 13 minutes. He got a few touches of the ball but nothing too notable happened. At one point he was on the receiving end of a fair yet hard tackle, he definitely showed a quick moment of anguish as he got up, but it's definitely nothing he's not used to. I think I am going to watch more Galaxy. I was totally impressed with LA's number 17, Xavier, he was probably more involved in that game than any other LA player, besides maybe Cobi Jones. Cobi had a ton of touches/plays, a decent shot or two, and definitely performed very well. Another big name player on that squad is Landon Donovan, he did not doing anything that would stand out too much, except an open header goal opportunity pass, which he received and handled poorly. Overall, I would say LA handled the much more talented Chelsea well, I was surprised to hear that their current standing in the MLS is very low.

I got to play soccer twice today. Earlier in the day I road my bike to the place I like to go and then later, a friend and I were playing frisbee in the same park and ended up playing in a pick game that is held there every Sunday evening. It's definitely a illegitimate game. The vast majority of the people who play are from Haiti. They range from what I would say to be late high school, to college, to straight adult. These dudes have been playing soccer their whole lives, they are really fast, and definitely have skills. Last year I played with them a ton more than this year. All the games I remember playing last year where more around 11 v 11, opposed to the teams of 5-6 tonight. One night, a whole other team came to scrimmage. It was a bunch of guys from Mexico and they had jerseys, shin guards, the whole 9 yards, it was crazy. It's such a pick up game, as they use trashcans for goals, no out of bounds, just passing with precise ground shots. I like it when I get a chance to play in those pick up game, but definitely am not in the shape right now to do it every day :-)

I am very tired. I would like to get into work early, so I can get out early, so I can drive to the Casino early, with my buddy who is staying with me until Wednesday. We will see.

HBO's "John from Cincinnati" is really just a top notch show. I'm not even going to get into it, because I don't even know what exactly is going on... but it is really just a great, great show. If any one wants to talk about it, then call me up.

Uggg...I need to write an email soon to people to give them my new number. Such a pain. Why did I hear all this mumble jumble about some law that was passed to ensure people could keep their current phone number when they switch carriers? That law was definitely just a bunch of hype. Whatever, the iPhone is the most amazing device I have ever even thought of. I use things like the Google Map Search all the time to find places. I have looked up certain kinds of take out multiple times this past week, all I did was type the category and then my zip code...boom, a map shows you all the spots, you tap a spot, you see the number, you tap that, you order. It actually works like it does in the commercials. I really can't even tell you how worth the iPhone is. When I look at all the things I waste money on, that provide so little additional functionality, or value,to my day in and day out life, the iPhone was a bargain.

As previously stated, I am tired, good night.
