I ended up taking 375 pictures with my real digital camera over the weekend. Ever since I imported them, I have been busy at work on a quick video slide show of some of the note worthy ones. I think I might wait until I am a little further a long with the video before uploading a gallery of those pictures to this website.

If I never say anything else about New Orleans, I would at least like to comment on the status of the city as a friend and I saw it during a little tangent our cab took while taking us to the airport. I will look to submit a blog entry on that topic in the near future.

A quick picture of part of the project I have been working on:

and goodnight.

and a quick after thought, as I just looked at my homepage to see what tags I used for "New Orleans" posts...

This sites primary goal of delivering content from my life, in a web format, to the masses, seems to be working. A lot of what I have spent a ton of time on in the recent past, primarily with behind the scenes coding/etc, is at least paying off in the sense that I can easily post blog comments and photo albums, on a system I built from the ground up. I would say the site is still a long ways from being considered anything but beta, but is still much better than what it was less than a year ago.

and goodnight again.
Big Easy - Part 1

- Big Easy - Taylor Hicks
I just got back from the weekend away like an hour ago. It was definitely a long day of traveling, but even a day filled with going to the airport/hanging out in the airport had some exciting moments.

I still need to gather my thoughts on the past few days to see what actually went down. From what I know, it was an absolute trophy weekend. This trip assembled the perfect cast to ensure every second was absolutely hilarious. We did SO much. Whether it was doing some sightseeing around the French Quarter, illin at "The Spotted Cat" on Frenchman St, tearing apart Bourbon St, hitting the casino, or whatever, we got absolutely nasty everywhere we went. I have not had a constant supply of alcohol in the system like I did this past weekend in a long time. If I had to rate my performance as well as that of the other 13 buddies I was with, I would have to say we exceeding any previous expectations on what the human body can do, without shutting down.

I just downloaded like 120 something photos from the iPhone. I just uploaded them all to this site. I did not edit this photo album, so you can get a raw experience of the trip, through the viewfinder of the iPhone. I have hundred of other photos I took on my good digital camera. I will go through those tomorrow and upload a decent selection in the next few days. I will also look to post another blog about some highlights of the trip, but no promises. Sometimes it's not worth painting a partial picture, when the full one is so beautiful.

On a side note regarding today, I met a lady who gave me an autographed Taylor Hicks CD, the first CD he ever made, before American Idol, autographed by The Man himself. How cool is that? She was down in LA representing the Soul Patrol, and we started talking, and I walked away with that. How cool. I just wanted to give out my new friend a quick shout out for that one.

I met a lot of really cool people over the past few days. Some appropriate to blog about, some not.

From the blurry, tired, and worn down inside...out, good night.
